WORKED ONCE FOR 10 MINUTES…
i USED IT ONCE FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES AND WHEN I CAME BACK TO USE IT AGAIN ABOUT A MONTH LATER, IT DIDN’T WARM UP A BIT.SEEMS TO BE WORTHLESS.DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Good for 3d prints
I’ve been using this to clean up 3d prints. It’s good for smoothing things out because of how wide the tips are. In the past I tried to use a soldering iron but even on low settings that was too hard to use smoothly. Eventually I’ll perfect my top layers but this is useful for fixing imperfect prints.

The bits won’t fit properly
Would not recommend. I purchased this repair welder to repair a seam in a polyethylene sprayer tank. I received the welder and accessories well packaged in good condition. Unfortunately as I was assembling the welder to my dismay I discovered the shanks on the tips were to small to make contact with the barrel or even the locking screws. I would put the bit in and it would slide out as soon as I pointed the tip down in the working position even after tightening the screws as far as they would go. The screw heads made contact with the barrel before the threaded end contactid the shaft of the bit. In theory this should have been a piece of cake. Unfortunately it has just turned into a big mess. Truly frustrating. It’s like the engineer was on vacation the week this product was constructed. That being said I will not recommend this to anyone

handy for crafts, jewelry and more
I got this to repair some plastic beaded necklaces but it has lots of uses. It’s basically a soldering iron for plastic and from planters to holiday decorations, to jewelry, you’ll find lots of uses for it.It is a professional kit so there is nothing lacking.Literally a 56 piece kit. I was even able to fix a part inside my car that needed some TLC

Doesn’t work as advertised.
First it doesn’t get hot enough. I find myself heating the tip with a blowtorch even with it plugged in to get the tips hot enough. Then, fundamentally the rods just dont melt into the plastic as shown in the photos. And that’s not just because I use the blowtorch to heat the tool, they just don’t melt in like you want them to when repairing plastic at any real point.This review is after about 5 hours of use repairing truck grille.

Minor alterations required
First, I want to give the seller huge credit for having the item in stock and shipping as promisedรขยย- as you are aware, not all Amazon sellers stock the items they are selling, Iรขยยm not certain why Amazon continues to perform business transactions with sellers that donรขยยt have product. Regardless, this product functions as designed, however as with many China made items, one must perform alterations to products prior to use. In this case, the screws that are to hold the tip in position are not of adequate length to make contact with tipรขยยwhich permits the tip to fall out of tool irrespective of the fact the screws are fully tightened. A longer screw solves the problem. Otherwise the iron works as well or better than anticipated

Do not buy
It has no temp controller so when you turn it on it heats up constantly until it finally melts itself. I used it once and while trying to use it it wouldnt melt any more plastic so i let it cool down. Then tried to use it again thinking it just overheated, nope, took it apart and the heating coil is completely melted in half. If i wouldve got one full use out of it i wouldve been happy but now i have to wait for a different one to come in and put this project to the side until it gets here.
