Great DIY Soldering Project
I had a lot of fun putting this kit together. I managed to assemble it without needing instructions using a Pinecil soldering iron. I zoomed in on the photos included in the listing and placed the components in their appropriate spots. I did scan the included QR to view the instructions. My browser (Brave) gave me an option to translate to English.If I have any complaint it would be the microphone does not pick up sound in the room as much as I’d like, but I could always swap it out with one that is more sensitive.

Missing jumpers
I bought a bunch of these for my students to practice soldering, except there were no jumpers included even though in the directions it said to add them. Most of them could get a few lights to light up but never all of them.

Missing parts, questionable quality kit.
Had high hopes for this product. Unfortunately half of them are missing essential components. 100% of them are missing the jumper for the power pins. 100% do not recommend this purchase. Luckily I have lots of my own spares as the return is not worth my time.Other than the above listed the components I did receive are good quality.The instructions on the other hand are not so good either. Poor translation? Specifically they call out a spot on the board that doesnât exist, Q2⦠does not appear on the board, but Q1 doesâ¦.Shame. I should have known better than purchasing from an obvious drop shipper.

Got it working
Received the wrong resistors.Put it together anyway hoping it would still work. It did not. Checked the battery module and found the negitive wire was not making contact with negitive spring. After I soldered the wire to the spring the devise started working as advertised. Factory defect not the sellers fault. I changed my review.

The kit works! And requires sound!
This is a good kit for an introduction to soldering. I think it will be great for my introductory students to learn to solder and learn a little bit about some basic electronic components. With a little better documentation, it would be worthy of 5 stars. Here are my kits’ issues.1. As stated in another review, there doesn’t seem to be any “detailed English instructions” as it says you should be able to access by scanning the QR code. Scanning the code takes me to a site where everything is in Chinese.2. No included jumpers – there are 3 jumpers required to complete the circuit, they are marked well and are listed in the instructions. However, there are no jumpers supplied so you either need to make sure you save leads from other components that you’ve clipped off to use or you need to supply your own. Not a big deal, but should be better documented.3. One of the required resistors is a 2 M-Ohm resistor. The color code of the included resistor appears to be correct but the resistor included in my kit only measured 1 M-Ohm. I installed it anyway and it appears to work as expected but a 50% decrease in value seems like poor QC of components.4. Nowhere that I’ve read does it state that this kit is sound activated. That is not at all detrimental for my use but I think it should be prominently displayed in the description that this only works when there is nearby sound (there is a microphone in the kit).
