Fun electronics project for beginners!
This was a fun little project for me and my son to learn with. We put it all together in about an hour, then spent another hour converting it to rechargeable per my own design. Sounds pretty good and receives signal well enough for the price point. No extra parts if you lose or break something, so be careful! My son loves his new radio.

A nice project! Perfect for an assisted build. Try to do neat sodering. Battery accessibility bad
This is a great assisted build!SO fun to have created your own working radio!!Try to do clean/neat sodering, this is where some practice or assistance might be helpful.Love everything about it EXCEPT the power issues.. the micro usb that is included does not power it. Batteries work, but you have to take apart the radio by a bit to change them out. Poor place to end off this design. Please put out version 2.0 that makes it rechargeable or has an accessible battery compartment

Pass on this one got there two reasons!
The usb thatâs included doesnât power this radio! (Hidden in the fine print) also the batteries are inside of the case and the case has to be disassembled and the antenna jags to be unscrewed and removed to change the batteries! This was a good kit, but these items make it worthless!

Works great
The radio is great , fun to put together and works fine ! I gave it three stars because after I got it I noticed in the small print that the micro usb power supply does not work and not to bother installing it so batteries are the only power option. Unfortunately in order to replace the batteries you have to disassemble the radio . Very inconvenient.

Great as is or for parts
I actually got it for the radio IC for a project i’m working on. I’ve tested that and it works well. I like that it comes with everything inside it’s own plastic shell. All parts appear to be included. I’ll be buying more.

Haven’t built yet since it’s a gift, but parts look good
I think my son is gonna love this but it’s a Christmas present… I’ve been over the parts and everything seems there, nothing seems toooo junky. I can’t say if it works yet or not. But this is a great functional thing to build!
