The Tesla coil is a kind of transformer (resonant transformer) that operates based on the principle of resonance. It was invented by Nikola Tesla, a Serbian-American scientist, in 1891. It is mainly used to generate alternating current electricity with extremely high voltage but low current and high frequency.
The Tesla coil consists of two sets (sometimes three sets) of coupled resonant circuits. The Tesla coil is difficult to define precisely as Nikola Tesla experimented with a large number of different configurations of coils. Tesla carried out innovative experiments with these coils, such as in electrical lighting, fluorescence spectroscopy, X-rays, high-frequency alternating current phenomena, electrotherapy and wireless power transmission, as well as the transmission and reception of radio signals.

The lucky turntable is a tool for predicting in advance which position the rotating disc will stop at when it comes to a halt. It can also be used in number-guessing games, electronic dice, lottery machines and so on. The electronic lucky turntable achieves the same functions in an electronic way. This kit is mainly composed of a clock generation circuit and a decimal counter circuit. It consists of a self-excited multivibrator with the NE555 as the core. The power supply charges the capacitor C1 through resistors R2, R3 and R4. When C1 just starts to be charged, pin 2 of the NE555 is still at a low level, so pin 3 (the output terminal) is at a high level. When the power supply charges C1 through R2, R3 and R4 to two-thirds of the power supply voltage, the level of pin 3 of the output terminal changes from high to low, and the internal discharge tube of the NE555 turns on. Then the capacitor C1 discharges through R4, R3 and pin 7 of the NE555. Until the voltage across C1 is lower than one-third of the power supply voltage, the level of pin 3 of the NE555 changes from low level to high level again, and C1 is charged again. In this way, oscillation is formed in a cycle. The charging time is 0.695×(R2 + R3 + R4)×C1, and the discharging time is 0.695×(R4 + R3)×C1. Adjusting R4 can control the output frequency of the oscillator. The clock oscillation signal of the NE555 is continuously applied to pin 14 of the CD4017. There are 10 LEDs connected to the 10 output terminals of the CD4017. When the 10 output terminals of the CD4017 alternately generate high levels under the action of the clock signal, D1 – D10 are lit up in turn, thus forming a flowing light effect. Adjusting R4 can adjust the flowing speed of the LEDs.

The circuit uses sound to control 11 LEDs to light up in a flowing manner, which is suitable for assembly practice, skill training, assembly competitions and so on. Among them, L11 is connected to the counting output terminal C0 of 4017. When L1 – L5 are lit, the C0 terminal of 4017 outputs a high level and lights up L11. When L6 – L10 are lit, the C0 terminal outputs a low level and L11 is not lit. If you think L11 affects the aesthetics, it can also be installed without affecting the operation of the circuit at all.

Great assortment of electronics kits for fun and soldering practice
What an amazing kit~!~ There are five (5) different printed circuit boards (PCBs) representing five different kits. Each kit is trivial for an adult, but loads of fun for a kid. Either way, it gives a person, young or old, first-hand soldering experience. Here is a list of all projects; 1. Sound-activated RGB flashing LED kit. 2. High Voltage Tesla Coil kit, not dangerous, just fun. 3. Adjustable LED flasher kit. 4. Doorbell kit. 5. Ring of flashing LEDs. The Tesla kit is worth the money by itself.So, there are five different kits which makes for five different interesting soldering projects. There are integrated circuits, Capacitors, Resistors, Diodes, Coils, Battery holders, Light Emitting Diodes, and more. All you need is a soldering Iron, and maybe a pair of wire cutters. At this point, I would probably suggest a VOM or âVolt-Ohm-Meterâ. They are very inexpensive and nearly a must-have for anyone just getting into electronics. Iâve dug through all five kits; it appears the parts are quality and the PC boards are done very well. All components are labeled on the PC board for easy assembly. The instruction paper with the diagram is clear, perhaps lacking a bit of detail about the operation.I did not personally solder up every kit, Iâve already got well over 40 years of bench experience soldering board-level components (see photo of evaluation bench). I did look them over carefully and plan to give/recommend them to young folks interested in electronics or computers. This is not only solder practice but five fun projects, this is a real deal for the money⦠you get five kits, AWESOME~!~

Great learn to solder kit.
Ordered a few months ago and just finally getting a chance to do some of the projects. I liked that the parts for each kit were separated into individual bags with their component sheets. Only two real complaints. First, it was missing one of the four battery packs, but I just made two of the boards quick connects to so I can swap a pack between them. The other is i wasnât sure how to orient the triode on one of the projects and when I looked up the specs i thought I had it right but didnât. Either a better explanation on orientation on the pcb or what the triode legs are might be beneficial.

Missing or broken components
I was only able to fully complete 1 of the kits due to broken or missing pieces. I was missing a few resistors, one of the battery packs, and a few capacitors. The instructions weren’t possible without consulting with my friend who is an electrical engineer. For a beginner’s kit… the instructions should be usable without external help.

Not worth it
Lots of LEDS that don’t work. Tesla coil did not work. Not worth the money and wait.

directions could be more explicit
Great tech, sound equipment, but telling you what goes where and how to identify each component could be more explicit. Overall a good buy if you know how to identify what you’re working with. And which side is + or –

Works but doesnât work
So many of the leds are defective- you can see the circuit working but the leds are either defective or the PCB is labeled wrong- the Tesla coil doesnât work either. So far the noise detection circuit is the best working circuit as it only has 3 defective LEDs in it- also a few missing components like IC sockets and a capacitor- but it is cheap so you get what you pay for

Saves a LOT of Money, Clear Schematics, but no SMDs
YIDAB Soldering Practice Kit 5 DIY Electronics Projects Soldering Kit DIY Tesla Coil Simple Welding Skills Plug-in Circuit Kit Learn Soldering Kit for Beginners (01TSL5-1) ( ASINâ: B0BNPWVL8T)–You save a lot of money buying this 5 in 1 kit, about 50%. The schematics are clearly printed and easy to follow. It also comes with a battery case for each project (see image).I was going to give it one star off because I believe the doorbell is a waste. I’d rather have seen a resistor board for more uses. Overall, however, it’s not about the function of these little kits. That’s just a bonus. This kit is meant to practice soldering, and in that capacity, it does and gets 5 stars.The only negative and why I took one star off was that there are no Surface Mount Devices (SMD) for practice. Everything is through hole in these kits.
