It works
I’ve been using pen sodering irons for years. Seems like they take forever to heat up, you really never when they are hot enough for the job, and getting the heat on the spot you need it is hit and miss. My experience with this device is not extensive, but the sodering I have done has gone really well, and better than projects in the past with my old iron. It heats up really quick, the readout lets you know when you are up to temp, and the tips give you a good range of control for heat placement on various projects. The holding stand, wire reel, tip cleaning thingy are a bonus and seem to work good. Very happy with purchase and can recommend without reservation.

Best soldering iron I’ve ever had!
I don’t do a lot of soldering and so have not been the most proficient at it. But this iron has made a world of difference. Being able to control the temperature has allowed me to match it with the solder and get in and out quickly without melting nearby plastic parts. The automatic shutoff feature, and the fact that it doesn’t automatically start heating when plugged in, are nice safety features. I also like the fact that when you do turn it on, it heats up quickly to the temperature I’ve set.

Good for the money
I like the soldering iron; works well. I didnât need the spool for solder but the holder is good for the iron. Happy with purchase.

FANTASTIC VALUE FOR THE MONEY
Has not let me down across 3 DIY LED and microcontroller projects. I have even used it to melt heat shrink and conformal coating in a pinch and the tips still came clean. I am super impressed that this product has worked as well as it has, for as long as it has, with as much certainty and reliability.It can get hot enough to solder super heavy duty marine grade wire! It can get cool enough to solder delicate temperature sensitive components as well. So good job with the temp control. Heats up faster and maintains temperature better than a hakko I had at work and this is a fraction of the price.

Easy control, good quality, great temperature range
This is the first digital soldering iron that I have ever used. It’s so much better than the cheap, non-adjustable irons that I have used in the past. Th ed stand is also nice. Great value and wish that I had upgraded sooner.

Works like a soldering iron should
Purchased it to replace a smaller 15 watt iron that would not provide enough heat to solder 10 gage wire. This one supplies all the heat I need for soldering 10 and 12 gage wire to connect lithium batteries to brushless speed controls on my electric ducted fan jet models. I have used it for a couple of hours already and it works as advertised.

Works Well
The unit heats up well. No need to use a big soldering gun for larger gauge wire. However, the mounting plate for the holder is just glued on and fell off with minimal use. I epoxied it back on. No problems after that.

Great product.
This is a early review but so far this iron is amazing. The temperature comes up to 800 degrees in under a minute and maintains during use. I have used it on 12 gauge wire for RC battaris. I couldn’t be more satisfied so far.
