Very pleased with chip quik solder
So after using MG chemicals, Kestor 44 and aim solder for a while I decided to try the chip quick solder as I use their SMD removal solder almost on a daily basis as I repair controllers and and have been more than satisfied with their SMD solder so figured I would give their solder a chance as I knew it couldnât be worse than some of the cheap Chinese solders I have tried when first learning to solder. So upon receiving the chip quik soldier I noticed the wind winding of the solder is kind of all over the place, but that is the only negative I have found for this solder. Melts great and even better than MG and aim and on par with kester 44. Solder is nice and bright leaving perfect mirror joints most the time but not as consistently kester but on par with MG but for the price of 4 oz compared to the other big two itâs only a third of the price with 90-95 percent of the performance and can say I Will definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try it. Donât even bother trying any of the Chinese Solders as they suck compared to this even the ones with decent reviews. Used a lot of deffremt brands when first learning to solder and As someone that solders almost every day for 2 years now I can tell u what good solder is and this is definitely good solder and price to pound nothing even comes close to this and will definitely be buying more when I run out. Canât wait to try some different varieties of chip quick solder in the near future !

Amazing!
This solder flows extremely well and the rosin core does exactly what it should do. I have some no-name chinesium solder that can barely flow and tin some wire. This chipquik solder flowed instantaneously and wet it very well. I also used it in an unconventional way and soldered a SO239 Coax connector to a copper pipe for use as a ham radio J-Pole. I managed to get a great solder on the connector and center conductor with a blowtorch as my soldering iron didn’t have the heat output for this task. Keep in mind I was doing this pretty much one handed and I still got a great solder on it. I’ve used several different brands of solder in the past, including some big name brands such as Kester and MG chemicals. This one is my favorite so far. 100% recommend and would definitely buy again.

This is the best solder I have used in the past few years. Most of them were very sticky, this one flows well at 360 degrees and creates a shiny joint. Highly recommended.

Easy to work with, and because of amount of wire and good price, this is good soldering wire.

Does what it’s supposed to. Small roll but goes very far. Flux worked well on new and older wires
