Product Description
This is a very fun soldering project kit for you to learn about ultrasonic standing wave suspension.
Through simple soldering work, you will get a mini standing wave device.
Don’t search everywhere for a 12V power supply. There is a high-quality 12V power supply in the packaging, please use it directly.
After powering on, pick up the yellow tweezers to gently clamp foam and place it in the middle of the wave stationer.
You will see the foam floating! Add a few more, I believe you will have a great time!
How proud and happy you will be when you successfully suspended the foam, just like we did successfully at the beginning!
Why does the foam float? How did it do it?
– This is a mini ultrasonic suspension device, which can suspend small foam or scraps of paper. The device consists of 2 chips, a voltage regulator, and 2 ultrasonic probes. Mainly used for students or electronics enthusiasts to learn about ultrasonic standing wave suspension, currently does not support controlling the up and down movement of suspended objects.
– Working principle: Ultrasonic standing wave suspension is achieved by a certain distance (called resonant cavity distance) between the ultrasonic emission end and the reflection end (or another emission end). The emitted wave and the reflected wave (or another sound wave) continuously overlap to form a standing wave. At the standing wave node, the object is subjected to the force of sound waves to overcome gravity and ultimately achieve the effect of suspension.
Schematic diagram of standing wave nodes
The emitted wave continuously overlaps with the other sound wave, ultimately forming a standing wave. (The stable standing wave area has 4 layers.)
3 Chips are pre-soldered for your convenience
We use 2 chips and 1 voltage regulator on the board. One provides a 40K pulse signal, the other amplifies the 5V pulse signal to 12V, and the last one depressurizes and stabilizes the voltage.
The size of the ultrasonic suspension device!
Highth: 7cm/2.75inch, The circuit is optimized and the number of components is reduced. You could put it on the desk and play with it!
2 useful parts for you!
The high quality DC 12V adaptor and the little tweezers are 2 useful parts, just put in package.Length of the adaptor: 38 inch. Enough long for you.
Whether you are an electronic beginner, a teacher, or an elder who wants family education, I believe that VIGURTIME ultrasonic suspension diy kit is worth learning and experiencing.
Especially when you successfully put into the foams, the sense of achievement is great!
Have fun!
A Great Desktop Project to Practice Soldering – This ultrasonic Levitator Soldering Practice Kit which allows to build a standing wave generator which will give tiny objects the appearance of levitation, easily soldering and install the parts, you will get the ‘magic’.
Easy to Start – No SMD parts or soldering. The tiny IC chips are already pre-soldering before leaving the factory. The other are DIP components, even you are a starter, no worry about it at all!
Including a 12V Adaptor and a Tweezer – Besides the basic boards and components, We also put a high quality 12V adaptor and a cute plastic tweezer in the package for you, which is convenient.
Happy Teaching Time – Have fun with your kids or students, soldering practicing or electronic circuit learning. After assembled, you all will have a great time to play with the ultrasonic levitator kit.

Great project for a great cost.
The unit already had the surface mount components soldered in place. Assembly took less than twenty minutes. The power supply was included, which is not always the case from other suppliers. The unit worked very well and was well worth the money.

very cool DIY soldering kit, easy enough to put together for beginners, fun for anyone
They actually make you different Little soldering projects, like this one, but you always end up with a different little gadget. This one is great, It is very easy to put together, comes with directions, and can be a learning experience. Get young people into electronics early, they will always feel more proud of their toys, if they make them their self. Great product, great price, highly recommended.

Simple and fun
I picked this up to do with my Grand-niece. She is often at my house after school and we like to do projects together. The last we built was an AM/FM radio. That gave her some soldering experience. The build was straight forward and she was able to do everything by herself with just some verbal guidance from me. The hardest part was getting the right placement and feel to have the balls levitate. Once she, and I, mastered that we had a great time seeing how many balls we could place. One note, only try this in an area with no breeze. Even light wind will cause the beads to fall out of alignment. She was so happy with this project that she took it to school to show it off. Her teacher sent back a note that she put together a quick lesson on ultrasonic levitation for the class. This kit is a great way to introduce a child to basic electronics and soldering while demonstrating an interesting scientific process.

Well designed, though a bit simple
I’m a pretty dab hand at soldering through-hole parts, but I ordered this because it seemed to have a mix of through-hole and surface-mount parts, and I need the practice with SMD. However, while the board does contain a couple of SMD ICs, I had misread the description. The SMD parts come pre-soldered, so all that is left to do is solder a handful of leads and screw the thing together. It really is very simple, and should take less than an hour even for neophytes. The documentation is decent, and briefly covers the theory of operation, the schematic, and detailed assembly steps. For the complete beginner, it might have been nice to include tips on how to actually solder (heat the iron, put just a little solder on the tip, heat the joint, apply extra solder to the joint, not the iron, etc), but it’s pretty easy to find basic how-to info on the web these days, so it’s not a huge drawback. Also, there should be some emphasis on how to solder the parts, especially the transmitters, *flat*, since otherwise it won’t work as well (I just used plain tape to hold down parts during soldering.)And after assembly, it works! I wasn’t especially careful during assembly, but I plugged it in, and was able to get the provided foam beads to levitate! It’s a little tricky to place them; sometimes they pop right back out or stick to the transducer, but with a tiny bit of patience you can get multiple floating beads. It’s really quite nifty. Just make sure not to try to operate it around strong air currents, as they can easily blow the beads away. One thing that is optional: the main board has holes for a 4-pin header (not included), that I assume is for product testing. Looking at the schematic, it looks like this is a UART connected to the microcontroller. I soldered in a header, but I haven’t had a chance to experiment with it yet. I assume it’s probably just dumping debugging info, but perhaps there is some control ability as well.Anyway, overall this is an interesting little project that’s easy to build and interesting to play with, at least for a while. It will offer no challenge to experienced solderers, but is very straightforward and suitable for learners.

Fun Simple Project
The soldering in this project kit is fairly simple and good for a beginner. All of the soldering is through board so nothing too complicated. The instructions are okay, but could be more clear. The component quality is on par with similar low cost solder projects. They are a little cheap but work fine for the project and are for educational purposes. In the end you get a fun experiment with levitating foam balls. This would work great for any beginner learning to solder. Overall this is a fun educational soldering kit.

Disappointed
The instructions were not clear. For someone just learning to solder and put things together, this is not the kit. The instructions did not clearly picture what parts are what and where they go. So disappointed.
