Easy to assemble, works and looks great!
The instructions are easy to follow, and everything went together without any difficulty. I especially appreciate that the instructions include a schematic – something that is so often missing in kits these days.

Simple assembly but tricky to dial in
Magnet was loose in with the rest of the parts so everything was tangled up around the magnet out of the bag. Annoying but mostly fine except for the resistor wires that got mangled. Most kits only have a QR code so was nice to have some printed directions. Assembly went fairly smoothly and I was feeling good until I turned it on. I did a lot of tinkering with the sensor and was never able to get it working. I certainly could have messed something up along the way but wasn’t able to find any problems. Hopefully everyone else gets it working smoothly.

Fun project!
I’ve always been intrigued by electromagnetism, so this looked like a fun little project that I might apply to another more decorative device.It comes with all the required components; in addition you’ll of course need a soldering iron and solder, Phillips screwdriver, small wire cutters, and pliers. As a bonus, they were thoughtful to include a few extra components (screw, spacer, resistors) in case you lose or damage one.I’ve been assembling and soldering PC boards since the last century, so putting this together wasn’t difficult. The instructions are mostly clear, albeit with typical grammatical errors expected coming from China. While the instructions tell you where to position and orient the components, it doesn’t give instruction on inserting, clipping the leads, and soldering, so it’s expected that you already have some skills for that.It took me about an hour to put together, and once assembled it worked exactly as shown in the product video. You can adjust the length of the swing by simply bending the leads on the hall effect sensor, placing it closer to the magnet for a longer swing. The flashing LED’s can be turned on or off to add visual interest. I’ll need to now do a little independent research to understand the theory of operations, but I can picture this being a great classroom project as it seems to be targeted. All in all, a nice little kit at a very reasonable price.

fun and educational soldering kit
This kit is a great way to practice soldering while creating a cool pendulum decoration. The LED light adds a nice touch, and the whole project is enjoyable to assemble. Ideal for anyone interested in electronics or a unique tabletop display ð§.

Just needs better instructions
The quality of the kit is okay, but the instructions need some work. They weren’t very clear on what to do or how to do it. I got it working in the end, but it was more frustrating that it should have been.

Learned so much!
Loved how affordable this kit was. I wanted to learn how to solder and this kit really worked for me in that aspect. Instructions were easy to follow. Project is a lot of fun to play with afterwards. Lots of fun and highly recommend.

Nice Kit, Horrible Packaging
I’m working to improve my abilities soldering. Kits like this are how I like to get it done. This one comes with one of the better set of instructions I’ve seen. Everything went together nicely. I love how well labeled the board was. All the parts were included. It worked out of the box (after a bunch of work on my part). The only complaint I have is that it doesn’t come with a resealable bag. I didn’t do everything in a single sitting, so I was storing stuff loose in the torn open bag it was packed in. A resealable bag would at least give me piece of mind that I wasn’t going to lose everything. Still, nice kit.
