Excellent Soldering Station
This Soldering station has been a fantastic addition to my workshop. The 90W soldering iron heats up quickly and maintains a stable temperature, which gives me precise heat control- perfect for both delicate electronics and heavier soldering tasks. Effective, easy and convenient to use.
I have had this iron for 6 months now, and this iron offers very good value for the price. It came with everything needed to immediately start a project, and the all-in-one style of the package allowed it to feel sturdy and safe. I was not worried about knocking over the iron or burning myself, as the holder and unit as a whole was very stable. It came with accessories that actually are useful and I rely on for a lot of help; the tweezers help with little surface mount components and wires, and the solder sucker is just a generic sucker, but it does it’s job well. I’m still using the same tip from the begining, so they are good tips that are included as well. Sometimes I have to solder/desolder large components, but when I have it locked with the button the temperature is managed well enough to where the iron can handle those demanding tasks. To top it off, the design is fairly professional-looking so it does not look bad on my desk with my other equipment. The cable connecting the iron feels thick and well insulated as well, so that’s reassuring. Overall I am glad I made this purchase.

Good starter kit for basic work.
Iron works and gets hot quickly. The stand is solid and the cord is flexible enough. The accessories are cheap gimmicks, but get the job done as a good starter kit.

This works well for soldering and cleaning up 3d printed pieces
I had one like this but it was green. The solder station fell onto a concrete garage floor from three feet, and the solder iron broke. It is a very versatile robust system. It work well for soldering and cleaning and/or melting plastic from 3d printed models.

Reliable Temperatur
This is my 4th station from Amazon. The first one had 4-1/2 stars and over 3000 reviews. It begins with a “Y”. It lasted about a half hour before it could not get hotter than 450F ?. Sent it back for refund. Then I got a TOAUTO. It was heavier than the DS90 I have now. I think it had a variac transformer. I only changed the tip to the standard tip before I stated it up. I turned up the temperature and measured my tip with my type “K” thermocouple. Got it up to 650 F BUT the station read out was 852! Way off! Back that one went! After 2 stations that were a disaster I tried TOAUTO again. This DS90. This was the one. I tested the tip with my “K” thermocouple and you can see with by the photo it was pretty dang close.

Step up from basic 40W
I had the 40W Weller for a decade and finally reached a point I needed to solder with hotter temps, but still wasnât ready to drop a ton of cash. This is the sweet spot of price and performance for an occasional hobbyist.

great beginner station
this station does everything i need it for and has easily replaceable parts. The only flaw is the flimsyness of the solder holder, has too many parts and is too easy to loose them. I wound up having to jerry rig mine, but its functionality as an iron is spot on and the temp is accurate enough to accomodate most alloys commonly used in through hole component soldering. For the price point its an excellent choice.

I have been using this primarily for soldering guitar electronics, and it’s served me well – it provides everything you need to get going, accurate temperature readings, variety of tips, sponge and tip cleaner, “solder sucker”, and tweezers. I’ve been having great success with it.After a few months of use I did have an issue where the tips were not being held securely – perhaps an issue with the sleeve, I’m not sure. But I contacted customer service and they were extremely helpful and fast acting – they sent me a new unit that was on my doorstep in a matter of days, and it functions perfectly. It was above and beyond what I was expecting and was really impressed that they would go to such lengths to ensure my satisfaction.The combination of good functioning unit, great value, and great customer service, make this an easy product to recommend.

I am brand new to this. I bought solder with a specific temperature range. I had to increase the stated temperature by quite a lot before the solder would flow. Power cord could be a bit longer. The solder vacuum included either does not work or I’m just clueless (probably the later).The machine is ergonomic. The barrel is metal lined so you can safely rest a hot iron. I found the solder spool dispensing mechanism useless.This is no luxury vehicle of tools, that’s very clear. But I think that the price is fair and reflects what you’re going to get.Overall I’m happy with the purchase. I didn’t spend a lot and if I make this a hobby, I have this to compare a better unit to.

Iâve used this soldering station for about a year now and Iâm very happy with it. The price is great, for what you get. I can happily solder a variety of different things using the different tips and the temperature control is accurate and very useful. The solder in the kit is okayâ¦Iâd recommend buying quality brand name solder instead though. For a hobbyist I highly recommend this soldering iron! Definitely worth it over the cheaper non-temp controlled soldering irons.

My current soldering station was getting old and wouldn’t stick the solder hence I got this new station. Best part is the copper wool that eats away excess. Comes with all the things you need to get you going. Hearing is fast.
