First ever soldering iron and for $10 I’d definitely buy again
This is my first soldering iron ever so I can’t compare it to other irons but it was amazing for the price. I’ve had absolutely no experience before and it was pretty hard at first but then I realized I was just over thinking it and it was very easy. I’ve used it over 5 times now and it’s working well. For $10 I’m very pleased. You get alot of extras in the box. One thing to mention is the fine tip for the iron looses it’s shape from the heat but the 2 others have been holding there shape very well. Where you hold the iron does get a bit hot but not to hot where you can’t hold it. It heats up very fast, but I’m not a fan of the temperature wheel. It’s very small but its not a big deal as you adjust it once and don’t pay attention to it much after that.. For $10 I’d definitely buy it again.

I really cannot fault this kit.
One of the projects I tackled during the lockdown was soldering, for the purpose of taking up amateur lutherie. Guitar building. Not knowing the first thing about soldering, I did what any prospective autodidact would do – I went to YouTube & then Amazon to find an iron.Not expecting much considering the price, I was & have been honestly surprised. It did exactly what I needed, and it was intuitive enough that I was able to learn quickly. Not that soldering is necessarily simple⦠you CAN muck it up. But even with instructions that I suspect were written by someone for whom English was not their first language, imagining what I thought they were âtryingâ to say, I picked it up pretty quickly.I did worry about the dial with which you set the temperature. That it might overheat to the point of failure or worse. But when I checked it with a temperature probe it regulates itself accurately and well.To be honest, they could sell this for more. It IS inexpensive. You certainly CAN pay more for another brand. And maybe one day Iâll âupgradeâ to another soldering rig. Not that I had to or needed to, but if I want to. If you need to or want to learn soldering – you canât really go wrong with this.

I had to install new wiring on my dirtbike and my good soldering iron was broken. That purchase had everything I needed, heat shrink tubes, solder and soldering iron (and other things). It did the job really well. For less than the price of heat shrink tubes at that. Sure it’s not top quality but it worked. It was worth it just for that.

This is a great little product if you needs to do small work on something. Unfortunately I couldn’t fix what I needed to, it wasn’t this products fault. If anything I was so happy that this kit came with everything that I needed and no matter what I’ll now have a soldering kit in the event that all need one. I would say that you just need to get yourself a different bag to contain all of the products as it only comes with a small box which won’t last forever.
