Amazingly comprehensive soldering, electrical kit at an amazing price.
This kit is incredibly nice and comprehensive. I could go on for pages about all of the included items and functionality, but suffice it to say that the listing is accurate and everything works as itâs supposed to. This would make a great giftâperhaps especially for a younger person who moved away from home (and their parentsâ soldering iron). Iâll hit a few of the highlightsâ¦Iâve never had an adjustable-temperature soldering iron before. Itâs so nice to be able to heat it to just the right temperatureâincluding for doing things like P-texing or base-welding snow skis. It heats up much more quickly than my old-style one-temperature soldering iron. Soldering is easy. I like that it comes with a stand so that you can set down the hot soldering iron without damaging anything. Iâve never had that before. I like how easy it is to swap tip-shapes.I have several multimeters but this is my favorite one and has become my go-to meter. Itâs more precisely accurate and itâs backlit. And it has a continuity test function with (importantly to me) an audible tone that signifies continuity.The non-contact AC-detector is awesome. Iâm an electrical engineer and big do-it-yourselfer who has remodeled and rewired much of my house, but I didnât even know that such things existed. I wish I had one of these for the last few decades. If you just hold it next to a live line (not necessarily touching the wire), it lights up. Love it.This kit is amazingly comprehensive. I canât believe itâs only $19.99 (as of this review). The multimeter is worth that much. And the whole thing come in a nice case that holds everything in place. Crazy good value. Iâve done about 200 Amazon reviews and Iâve never said this before⦠but Iâd give it 6 stars if I could.

Great for all the DIYers
This soldering iron kit is perfect for both beginners and experienced DIYers. The adjustable temperature control is a great as it allows me to work on a variety of projects with precision. Tt heats up quickly, which saves me so much time. The kit comes with everything you need, including extra tips and a handy stand, making it a great value for the price. The ergonomic handle is comfortable to hold, even during longer tasks. If youâre into electronics or small repairs, this is a reliable and versatile tool to have on hand.

Good starter kit for the novice and would make a nice gift….9v battery not included
The kit is nicely contained in a zippered hard pouch with carrying loop, it has most everything you need to get started and tackle many soldering jobs including a convenient VOM. ….there is not an included 9v battery and the first time I opened the battery door the two locking tabs broke off, fortunately the battery door is designed is such a way that it kind of holds in place without the tabs and the rubber case protector (which has to be removed to access the battery holder) will hold the loose battery door in place…a bit of scotch tape would help also.

Everything you need
Perfect kit for beginner soldering. Comes with everything you need for small repairs. A big standout is the included budget but effective XL830L multimeter – you can never have too many meters around and this one sells separately for $10. The remaining components in the kit are definitely worth more than another $10! Includes a pretty decent zip-up case, and iron stand, not to mention the 80W adjustable temperature iron itself.There are a couple things that could be a little better, but what was included does the job and I can’t expect more for something at this low price point. The included solid rosin works, but can be hard to use to flux components since its… solid (at room temperature, melt with the iron to use). Paste flux is easier to apply but can make a big mess in a portable kit, such as if it liquefies in a hot car without being fully closed. There is a tube of solder *and* a small reel of solder included, but no indication as to what alloy they are, or even if they’re leaded. Lead-free needs a higher temperature and can be more difficult to use, so it would be good to at least know. Finally, while the sponge does OK for tip cleaning, brass wool is the gold standard, and I wish this kit had a little puck of it.All that said, just the components actually included in this kit *are* enough to successfully complete just about any soldering job. My favorite is the de-soldering wick. Pumps are nice for pulling up bulk solder (and you get one of those too), but there is no replacement for wick to get up that last little bit.

Impressive kit for the price.
This is a great kit for the occasional electronics tinkerer. For the $19.99 price, at the time of my writing this review, you get everything you need to jump right into an electronics project. I’m the occasional electronics tinkerer, and over the years I’ve purchased all of these items separately. Believe me, I spent a lot more than twenty bucks on getting all the items that come with this kit. I wish they had a kit like this when I got started. The inclusion of the shrink wrap is a nice touch. There’s enough for several hobby projects. You also get five different shaped soldering iron tips. Plus, it comes in a nice little case that’s great for storage. If you’re a hard core electronics hobbyist or are planning on working on larger projects, you probably wouldn’t be looking at a kit like this to begin with. If your a beginner or casual hobbyist, this kit is great. I’m really impressed. It’s a great value. For me, it’s a solid five stars.
