Thinner than I usually get- but I like that.
This is the first time I got this. It is 2mm in diameter- I usually get 3mm- but actually it is easier to use on fine soldering projects than the thicker solder. I plan to wind two up in a long line if I need a thicker solder.I don’t know, as yet, if I will order this again- or go back to the 3mm solder. I must say that there is a lot more in length in a 1 pound of 2mm than 1 pound of 3 mm! Makes sense, but you really notice it when your working- Thus the two spools will last me quite a while.

Absolutely horrible!
I should never have taken the cheap option! I was working on a large stained glass project and thought Iâd try an unknown brand of cheaper solder. It was just awful. It was difficult to spread and it burned easily. It nearly ruined my project. I stopped as soon as I realized that the iron and flux were not at fault, I quickly ordered Canfield and will never try to save a few dollars on solder again. What a mess it was!

Use for filler
It’s good for filling in spaces on craft projects. You cannot use it for electrical work because it does not contain any flux. Flux is needed to form a bond with the metal.
