Forney Solder Rosin 1/8″, 16 oz, Silver
Rosin core solder is ideal for electrical wiring connections because of it-Feets non-conductive residue
Will not cause corrosion or deteriation of electrical connections
Melting point varies highly from 375 to 575 degrees Fahrenheit/190 degrees to 299 degrees Celsius depending on solder size
Customers like the quality, value, and rosin of the product. They mention it works as intended, is heavy-duty, and melts well. However, some customers have reported that the product contains too much lead and doesn’t melt easily.

Good Stuff!
This stuff is great for making connections between well pump wire and the well pump which is what we use it for.

Great product, but has lead and the seller didn’t list that important info in the description
It is good old-school solder that is 60% Lead and 40% Tin. I returned it because I was looking for an ROHS compliant solder and the only thing under specs was silver, which apparently meant silver color. So, I figured I’d save someone some trouble and list it’s components, since the seller thought it was too hard to include that info. It’s getting 5 stars because it’s a good product and works as intended, I just wish I could rate the seller bad and not the product.

Gotta funny smell =
Nice size, quick melt.. the rosin core is a little strange but it does the job and cleans up nicely.

Poor Quality Material
I have been soldering for over 45 years but cannot figure this one out. Sorry tried both rolls, and the Rosin or tin / lead composition or incorrect or poor quality. I have to use my old roll to properly tin the soldering iron and tin the terminals and wire. I can then use the Forney roll of solder to fill in.

Just fine for wiring or plumbing.

This is bog standard high lead (Pb) solder that was promptly delivered. It should be noted that the lead content, at a stated 94.5%, makes this a high melting point solder compared to the lead free or high tin (Sn) solder types making it unstuitable for most soldering irons / guns.
