Exactly what I was looking for!
I needed to find an iron I could adjust nice and low to melt wax for filling small imperfections in hardwood flooring and this works perfect! I tried many with no luck. Most irons on their lowest would burn wax changing its coler and creating smoke but not this one.Crank it up a bit more and it seems to work fine soldiering as well.

Works great
Very nice to control temp. Can set to 300 for most small wires then 400 for bigger wires. Dont want to set it to 400 always as you will build up char on the tip the hotter you go.

Great soldering station for the price
Needed to replace a 20 yo analog beast. Didnât want to spend a bundle.This unit for around $20 works well, so far, and takes up minimal bench space.

Did not last long
The soldering station was working great until today. It suddenly stopped heating up and was giving me an error – – – ? I used it sparingly and it didnât last me very long.

It’s good until it isn’t.
This thing has gotten me through a ton of work, so I can’t fault it too much. The temperature control while mostly accurate, really isn’t depending on the tip you are using. Some of the provided tips don’t conduct heat well where they should, so you end up with inconsistent results.The wand itself gets very hot, so much the plastic will start to degrade after a few months of use.Lastly, tips.. If you need replacement tips for this thing, you are on your own. The provided tips will wear out much more quickly than others (the chisel tip literally melted in on itself after a few months use). Finding replacement tips for this thing is impossible. They do tell you in the Q&A section what the size of the tips are, but do not tell you where to purchase them – you know why? Because no one makes them. It would seem the only way to get new tips is to buy a whole new unit.There are better on the market, I would probably not recommend this thing to anyone.

Junk, replacement tips not available anywhere
The tip size is unique and you cannot replace them with anything commercially available. When you ask them for a recommendation on what to buy they recommend something that does not fit.

Works as described
Used this station to put together a GPS disciplined digital clock. The temperature control is spot on and the iron can heat up to the maximum setting in around 15 seconds. The only thing not great in my experience is that due to heat expansion, the iron top assembly plastic cap that screws the modular tip section to the iron wand gets loose and needs to be tightened when the plastic is hot enough to burn skin. So, 4 out of 5 stars for stability.
