Temper expectations and it may be okay for small jobs
I bought this not for soldering, but to quickly manipulate hot glue without pulling out and plugging in a glue gun. For that it’s fine. For soldering, my unit didn’t quite seem to live up to the temperature targets claimed. Instead of reaching 300-400C, it settles out at 300-400F, which is quite a bit cooler.Will that be a problem for you? It should handle low temp solder, and might be okay with 60/40 SnPb. I think some common lead-free alloys might be pushing the upper range of this tool as some of those melt above 400F. So if you’re buying this consider using an appropriate choice of solder.I did like that the battery is removable, that’s a great design choice as you can make sure this is safe for storage and replace the battery if anything happens to it. I’ve attached a picture of the battery markings, I could not find much information about it, except that it might be a recovered Tesla cell. However two concerns I do have are 1 – there is a sticker on the unit warning that inserting the battery the wrong way can burn the chip, which makes me question the effort put into the protection on this unit, and 2 – I took a thermal reading of the device after only a very short period of testing and quite a lot of heat had transferred inside the device already. I don’t think I will be trusting this for large jobs that take a substantial amount of time.Overall it may be okay for small jobs with the right type of solder, but I don’t think it’s going to replace your regular iron.

Love it But…
Love it, its cordless heats up fast, comes with few tips evwn an 18650 battery however the body is cheap plastic and not robust. I wish they made a MUCH more robust version of this same Iron.

Buy it before they gone.
The reason I got this is because the removable 18650 as soon as it came today I read the instructions and put a freshly charged Flatop Sony/Murata VTC4. 30A It came with a button top but the Flatop fits well. All I got say is this little guy smokes some of my plugin irons. I’m a happy fella. Thanks

It’s okay for tiny tiny solder jobs
Just buy a more expensive gun this one sits off to the side and never gets used because it’s under powered
