Not bod
Not bad at all!I think that it probably won’t win you the blue ribbon at the Spring Soldering Jubilee. And its looks might not turn too many heads when you’re carrying it around town. But I think any soldering iron under $15 with variable temperature control, multiple tips, and some solder included is beautiful in it’s own right.It heated up quickly, flowed smoothly, and got the job done. Only thing I’d mention is to stay away from the very fine point-tip. I think theres just not enough heat in the tip to distribute around the solder. Use one of the more blunt tips, it’ll heat up and transfer a little better.

Did the job
I bought this soldering iron to fix the logic board on my garage door opener because the remotes only worked up close (yes I already checked the batteries and ruled out RF interference). Set it to 300 degrees Celsius, let it heat up for a few mins, and redistributed the solder on the connections that held the 5pin connector strip. Now the remotes work from far away! This isn’t the most rugged tool but it saved me $80 on a new logic board or way more on a technician visit. This is the first time I’ve soldered anything since wood shop back in high school and it was super intuitive and easy. Couldn’t be happier with this new tool.

I don’t know how long it will last.
It is very light weight. Almost like holding nothing. It get up to operating temperature quickly. I’ve only used it twice but did a fine job. I like the selection of tips for use other than soldering so it’s versatile. Easy to change the tips. After all that it is very affordable. Chinese made.

Nice soldering iron for general work.
We crafted a new switch for an older Dell system. Temp control prevented us from cooking the board. The system performed flawlessly after we created the new switch prototype and installed it with minor modifications to the system’s casing to mount the new switch. There is a nice variety of tips and even included solder in the packaging. Would recommend for someone who occasionally tackles products that needs soldering.

excellent for the price
Great product works great. Wish there was an off temperature control but to turn it off you have to unplug it. The temperature control knob is also VERY small and is difficult to see the temperature setting but overall very good. Heats up fast works great and melts the given solder very quickly even on lowest temp. I approve

Works, Cheap Tips
Heats fine. I like the multiple tip options, but they are cheap and even after tinning first, the tip I started with is already beginning to deteriorate. Overall build quality is cheap, even for the price.

i forgot i had this plegged it and my arm brushed it. the heat it provides is great. my arm will tell you that. it solders very well. used for my glasses and lights.

For the price this iron is shockingly good. It heats up quickly and stays hot while soldering, and the narrow handle is comfortable to hold. I actually prefer it to the dial-type hakko that I have.

I needed an inexpensive soldering iron for a specific job. I was removing and replacing a relay switch on a circuit board for my dryer. This iron did its job. The dial to adjust the temperature is tiny but it worked. Came with solder which I used. Iron also came with several tips. Iâm pleased with my purchase. I fixed my dryer for less than $40 saving a $1000 on a new dryer.

I only used it twice, but so far, I’m happy with this soldering iron kit. First time was to “weld” some plastic. The second time as its normal use, soldering wires.

It feels a bit cheaply made (the power button popped off the first time I turned it off) but it does what it’s supposed to. Heats up quickly.
