Complete kit
This Soldering Iron station Kit really comes with everything you need to get started. It has a nice tip selections and comes with plenty of needed accessories. The only downside was the manual was not great but did illustrate the key features and those worked as described.

Do not buy! Absolutely horrible!
First off – the instruction manual contains very little information, and what it does have is very confusing and inaccurate. (See photos) Even the basic information for how to turn it on is wrong. (When it says “Turn the knob” I think it means Push the knob) After a frustrating half hour of trial and error I was able to get it to heat up enough to melt a little solder on the tip but still haven’t been able to solder my first wire joint. The display will randomly shut off and show what I assume is an error code (00.0A) however the manual says nothing about this so who knows. The basic design of the unit is very poor. The work area is directly in front of the controls and under the iron handle when it is in the holder – which means it is very difficult to make any adjustments or setup the wire connection. There is a decent set of accessories, but nothing telling you what they are, how to use them, or connect them – plan on figuring it out on your own.The work holder screw into the side of the base unit, but there is not a good way to tighten them so when you try to move the clips around, they can come loose.

Feature filled but a bit plastic.
Firstly, there’s a lot in the box here. As well as the soldering iron you get the stand (obviously), a bunch of different tips, the sponge, some helping hands, a pretty nice little screwdriver to put it all together and a very cheap feeling solder sucker. Oh, and some tweezers and some solder. That’s a pretty great deal.I tried to check the temperature calibration with a meat thermometer and got a reading of 160C when the station said 200C. Given the inaccuracy of measuring it like this I’m inclined to believe the display on the soldering station. At 350C it melted the supplied solder readily. In any case, it’s possible to adjust the calibration should you need to. The display reads in C or F for those folks still in the nineteenth century. As you can see from the video it heats up quickly. So what could be improved? The instructions aren’t great – there’s no guidance on assembly. It’s not particularly difficult – perhaps they think that if you can’t figure it out then you shouldn’t be trusted with a soldering iron…it’s just a surprising omission these days. Apart from that, the station itself is made of plastic and as you can see from one of the photos when the iron is in place there’s not a lot of clearance between the tip and the case. Sooner or later you are going to contact with the plastic…if not there then as you thread the hot iron through the hole. That’s going make an unsightly burn on the case at the least. It would be better if there was a spiral metal spring holder for the iron. Other than that, this seems pretty good to me for the price.
