Yes!! Perfect!
This soldering iron kit is a fantastic value for the price. It comes with everything a beginner or hobbyist needs to get started, including multiple tips for different tasks. The adjustable temperature control is a huge plus, allowing me to work with a variety of components. The included multimeter is a great bonus, and the overall quality of the tools feels surprisingly good. I’m very happy with this purchase!

Tons of value here for the beginner!
— An update 3 days later, 02/27/2023 —I just used this kit again to replace a left click switch that was double-clicking on a Logitech mouse. It took a while to desolder the old switch, possibly because I had the iron set for 350 degrees and used the smallest tip. There were no problems, it just took a while to get the old solder hot enough. This is where I sort of wished I had a higher power iron, but then I am not going to be able to justify another $80 for that since I don’t tinker much. Soldering the new switch on was a cinch — no issues whatsoever, and very quick. The entire process was so much easier than the LED strip job.— Original review 02/24/2023 —This kit allowed me to solder a cut-up LED strip to 22AWG wires, my first time soldering in 25 years (although 25 years ago, I wasn’t “soldering”, I was “dropping solder onto connections from 2 feet above”, so this was really my first true soldering job).Tools I used, from this kit:1. Soldering iron at 325-350 degrees2. Soldering tip (the narrowest one)3. Solder wire4. Flux paste (the solder wire has flux in it, but I just needed an extra dab)5. Soldering stand & sponge6. Multimeter to test for any shorts7. 22AWG red and black wires8. Electrical tape9. Tweezers10. Heat shrinkTools I used, NOT from this kit:1. Wire stripper/cutter (there is a cheapo one in the kit but I tossed it without trying it)2. Helping hands with magnifying glass3. HEPA air purifier4. Silicone soldering mat5. Lighter6. Clear tapeBasically, what I wanted to do was to attach approx. 1 foot of LED strip each to just the top and bottom of the back of my son’s monitor so that the back would radiate ambient colors, and have it all be controlled by the controller that was attached to the bottom strip. My LED strip was only 2 feet long, hence not long enough to do the sides, so I cut my LED strip in half and soldered the 22 AWG electrical wires to run on the side and connect the top uncontrolled strip to the bottom controlled strip. Before starting the project, based on some of the bad reviews, I was concerned about the soldering iron dying on me, but it didn’t. The handle also didn’t get too hot or melt or anything, even though I used the iron for about 2 hours at roughly 325 degrees. So… is this a kit that’s full of the cheapest products you can get?Yes, pretty much, except for the stand, multimeter, and utility knife which are a step above the cheapest. The soldering iron, namely, is almost the cheapest one you can buy on Chinese sites that runs on AC.So… is this a bad kit?No, unless of course you were unlucky and received a dud soldering iron. I mean, this was my first real soldering job, with permanently shaky hands, poor vision, tiny LED strip connections (4 connections on each side), and no extra LED strip to bounce back from failures, but I still got the job done on the first try with what was included here. I think the owners of Plusivo put a lot of thought and effort into creating this kit with a mish-mash of cheap but decent products. Everything important works, and if you bought the parts separately, you’d have paid a lot more, even from Chinese sites. Just upgrade whatever you feel frustrated with. I for one threw out the wire stripper and jewelry screwdriver set the day I got them because I already had better ones and wanted to create more room inside the bag. There’s definitely a lot of room for better quality replacements, but most of what you need is in this kit if you have a small budget.

Perfect for simple solder tasks
Very nice kit at this price point. Lots of bits and bobs that will come in handy. The iron heats up quickly. The included multimeter is basic but functional. Good for light solder work. If youâre looking for an inexpensive kit that does the job, this is it.

Solid entry level kit
In my opinion, this kit includes everything you need to get started with soldering. I bought this with the intention to use it as a backup, as my main iron was lost. I also wanted a kit with a multimeter, as I wanted to keep the iron, and meter in a single case. The iron works great, and the spare tips will really come in handy. The only con I can see is that the cord on the iron doesn’t have an inline on/off switch, which I’ve grown accustomed to. That, and I would have liked to see more solder included in the kit, but for the price, it is not an issue. The multimeter alone is valued at $10, so the value on this kit is really good.

Really nice surprise for fixing the dashboard on old toyota
I got this kit for the de-soldering supplies inside rather than buying all the parts individually for one small project. I am replacing the resonator on a Toyota speedometer (already replaced speedometer but the gauge on the dashboard still heats up and goes out intermittently). Many of the items I already have but it is nice to have two of each. That way I can keep a set for lead soldering in circuits and a separate set for lead free soldering. I didn’t need the voltmeter but it is great. it really has a backlight that works. It tests 1.5v and 9v batteries. My current one tests 1.5, 6, 9, 12 volts. This is the main reason I even use it lately. This little multimeter tests continuity also. The de-soldering wick isn’t a lot but enough for what I need. The de-soldering vacuum has good suction. The tips in this package are a great range of sizes. And the iron even comes with one spare one already in it. The case is the PU leather type of stuff that usually don’t last but it keeps the supplies together.I wasn’t sure if the solder included is lead or lead free. Most kits nowadays come with lead free which is too hard to heat for a tiny circuit. The solder is labeled with a Proposition 65 but that still could be nickel and tin or lead and tin.The blue screwdriver set is really nice. I use one of these all the time for opening battery compartments and fixing small things. The magnetic bits inside the screwdriver are useful for different types of screws.A really nice feature is an included tiny circuit board to practice and some wires. The price was amazing too.Update: 11/3/24. The soldering iron and electronic sized tip was amazing. The dashboard on a 26 year old car works now. I did use a smaller sized solder wire than was in the kit and some extra flux. Thank you seller for the great product and price.

I bought it for the solding iron but ended up using the voltmeter a lot more than I expected
I have to say this kid is very good. It’s complete. The soldering iron works well. The volt meter is excellent and everything else is just kind of bonus. For the price you get everything you need to start soldering it even gives you an ebook if you don’t know how to solder. And overall yeah this kit was very useful. Will not say it’s the best quality for everything but it is adequate and functional. It’s cheap but not so cheap as to be dangerous and everything works. The voltmeter really wasn’t a surprise. It works really well. I highly recommend it.
