Professional grade soldering kit!
This is a professional grade soldering kit. It has two soldering irons so you don’t have to swap out tips when you are doing something that requires both a larger tip and a smaller it contains a type 245 for general soldering and a type 210 for really small precision soldering if you are trying to do something with SMTs or something. Having both means you can use them simultaenously and really makes certain tasks a lot more convenient. The LCD screen is great too since you can see exactly what the temperature and state of each iron is – no need to guess or wait. The heat control is great too so if you know exactly what temperature you need it at, you can set it here. The controls are a bit involved so this isn’t something you can use right away without reading the manual. There’s definitely a lot of functionality and options you have to go through. This is great if you actually will use the second tip – if you are doing really basic hobbyist work then this is likely overkill (and it’s not cheap by any means). But if you think you might need to do some rework on some SMTs then this is the type of soldiering kit that you will want. For more advanced purposes this is definitely recommended.

Perfect for Beginners and beyond
This station is amazing especially if you are new to soldering and choose to continue to learn and prefect the trade. I love that everything you need is within this station and that you can test the heat your irons are generating. I will update this in a few months after I have used it more on different projects.

Precision Powerhouse with a Learning Curve
I’ve always been a bit of a tech tinkerer, so when I lost my old soldering iron in a total loss fire a few years ago I recently decided to level up with the WEP 982D-II. Talk about a level up! This 2-in-1 kit is like the multi-tool of soldering stations.The automatic calibration is a lifesaver â no more guessing if my iron’s running hot or cold. And the adaptive display? It’s like the iron reads my mind, showing me exactly what I need to see. But fair warning: there’s definitely a learning curve. I spent a good hour just figuring out all the bells and whistles & still have more to learn.This is probably overkill for my needs but Iâm not complaining about having something I can use for most any soldering project. This is truly a multi tool for soldering & heats up quicker than any other iron Iâve owned to date.

Oh my. This is amazing
Apparently, I’ve been missing out since I’ve simple pen style soldering iron with a little temp wheel on the shaft for decades. It was a challenging, at best, for me to get consistent heating/temp and performance using that old unit.Enter this new high-tech unit with a LOT of bells and whistles. It is mind-blowing how much easier it is to solder and desolder. It even has things I never new I needed, like a scrubber to clean the soldering tips, a sleep mode that cools the tip dramatically when it is sitting in the holder, then quickly ramps the temp back up to the preset number when removed from the holder… heck, it even has a little spring arm on each site to hold the cord out of the way for each iron. This is a really expensive unit compared to the old iron I struggled with. But, I can actually successfully solder with this, and I really struggled with the cheaper one.

This is the first station I’ve used that has irons with adjustment buttons right on the handle. I’ve still yet to use them, but it’s a nice touch.I appreciate that both irons have their own holders complete with their own tip cleaners. That way if I’m working with specific solder for each iron, I don’t have to worry about cross contamination.They heat up extremely quickly, and I love that there’s a built in calibration tool that’s as easy as hitting the button and putting the iron on the sensor.It has a very nice screen with plenty of options, and the irons take solder and delivery heat very efficiently.Overall a very nice soldering station.Highly recommended.
