Updated review.
(30 day update) I have been using this station nearly every day and it was working great. It began to have an issue getting up to temp. I contacted the seller and they worked diligently to get my issue resolved. I couldn’t ask for better product support. I do plan to purchase another Station as a spare. I go by 2 is 1 and 1 is none. This is by far still my favorite station and highly recommend.(Original review) I am new to soldering but have progressed quickly. I have gone through 3 different irons and stations which include a generic amazon special iron, a weller 40 watt iron, and a weller digital station we1010. This one exceeds my expectations by far. Time will tell how it holds up, but for now it is the best iron I own and the most consistent in temperature. I will update if anything changes.

It’s for basic soldering but it looks cool
I have been testing it for a few days and so far, it’s been so good. I noticed the temperature goes up fairly quickly on display but it’s not the temperature on the iron. I would say 25 second on display 650f and 45 seconds for iron to reach that temperature. Example the display will show 650f but iron won’t melt solder till about a 30 seconds later.I would recommend this iron for a starter or back up. Not really recommended for smd soldering or removing large components. I have a Hakko station and believe me this is no match to a Hakko. This is a cool looking basic soldering iron. The base is heavy and looks great. Iron is basic with not a very good cord no silicone. Stand is good safe but not too heavy.

Great Iron for beginners
Pros:- Easy to setup and use right out of the box- Great value for the functionality- Comes with different tipsCons:- Iron cord is short & thick- Have to wait for Iron to cooldown before changing to a different tip

Accessories Arrived Used/Damaged (KOTTO KT-68P Digital Soldering Station Kit)
TLDR; Ordered two, both of the soldering iron holders came with rust and were damaged in someway. One came used. Both main units were fine. The first one came used with significant rust and scratches on the soldering iron holder as well as some left over solder on the tips. Sadly I don’t have pictures of this one as I thought this was a fluke. The replacement arrived and although the tips came clean, the soldering iron holder again had rust and this time significant scratches in the back and a dent which caused it to not sit flat with the table. Both main stations were working and seem fine so no issues there.

nice soldering iron for the money
A few months of use and it works really well. There don’t seem to be any negatives that I can find: it heats up fairly quick, maintains a consistent temp, and melts the solder evenly and consistently. The temp gauge is nice, and each of the tips work as needed. Really impressed with the feel as well.

Defective, wouldn’t heat properly
First, there is much to like about the design of this product. The iron is solidly constructed and is easy to grip and position over the work. It has six tips of various shapes to accommodate different projects. The station itself is study and the transformer is heavy enough to keep it in place in your work space. You won’t accidentally push it out of place while you are doing the job. The soldering iron cord has a screw in connection to the base that will not come unattached until you are ready. The temperature reading is large, bright, and easy to read. It can be toggled between Fahrenheit and Celsius readings. The push button controls are easy to use. The product also comes with a convenient stand to hold the hot iron and has a useful tray to hold a small, dampened sponge that you can use to keep the soldering tip clean during use.Unfortunately, this soldering iron ended up being unusable for me. I decided to test it by soldering a severed copper-strand wire electrical connection. I am a novice, so I thought this project would test the device, but be easy enough to complete successfully. I was surprised by how much trouble I had working with the rosin-core solder. The instructions said that it was best to work between 600 and 750 degrees Fahrenheit. I set the control for 650, but it didn’t reach the melting point. I tried 750, but the iron seemed to get hot enough briefly, but not to hold the correct temperature, even though the display on the station didn’t vary. As a result, the soldered connection turned out lumpy. I decided to use my multimeter to test the actual temperature of the iron at the tip. When set to 750 degrees, the actual temperature barely exceeded 600 for a few moments, but quickly dropped back to the low to mid 500s. It did not remain stable. Even set at the highest setting of 842 degrees, the tip didn’t remain above 600 degrees for very long. I tried different tips and made sure all connections were secure. I was able to do the job with a different iron.I am forced to conclude that the device I received has a defect that renders it impossible to use effectively. It is possible that this is a rare problem that would not normally occur with another device from the same manufacturer. If I am able, I will post an update about a new test with a different unit.***About me: Integrity is very important to me. Reviews I’ve posted will be from items I’ve had direct contact with. These are my honest opinions. I will not post a review for a product I have not had personal contact with.
