Good kit
They arenât kidding when they say a practice kit! I have a soldering gun that Iâm not really good at using. Having something like this to give you real hands on trying is what I need.I can read and see something over and over and I may not remember it ,but if I do a good hands on practice along with training I retain information so much better.This will help for sure since it is all hands on.

Works but your hand has to be within inches of the sensor “eye”
Not a bad little kit that combines through hole and surface mount. I’m not crazy about these type of LEDs where I have to solder the 4 corners and repeat that for 24 of them. However, it all went together fine and took me about an hour and a half. The speaker only makes noise on the game mode when you make the light arrive at the destination. Otherwise it doesn’t make any other noise. The LEDs are bright and the color changing is appealing. It makes for very good soldering practice. Like most of these I’ve done, I don’t really consider the finished product much of a kid’s toy due to how fragile they usually feel. Like my title said, I noticed my hand had to be within 2 or 3″ for it to recognize the motion; even then I’d have to try different motions of my hand to make it recognize it.

Great practice set
Husband loves to build and design electronics/robotics projects, and wanted to improve his SMT soldering skills. This kit is a great way to practice those skills. It’s well made, well designed, and comes with what you need to get started.
