I liked it because it is light weight easy to hold and easy to put attachments , It was used to solder a lamp that was holding on by a tiny piece of metal .

The device is quite small (23cm), therefore light and easy to handle. The max. temperature is 480°C, not 500° as shown in the picture, but these displays are never accurate, so no complaint here. Advertised power is 80W. I compared it with a 60W soldering iron, and it heats faster, indeed. I own several soldering devices, and I worked with many in my life, this one is a good one.Among different types, the ones with a sleeve & nut that hold the hollow tip onto the heating element are the best, and this item is like that. I like the switch on the unit, very useful.Time will tell how reliable it is, as a new device I definitely like it.The only flaw is the cleaning pad, provided in the box. Wet sponges are no longer “fashionable” these days, although they clean nicely, the iron gets cold for a while and the water will oxidize the tip faster. I recommend the wire mesh type, but the selling price does not allow the manufacturer to add it to this product.

This iron is quite nice and the price won’t break the bank. It has a temp control feature whcih is very useful with a power switch. Heats up quite quickly and does the job well. I would consider another one of needed.
