High Quality Fish Tweezers For The Best Catches
Dalstrong’s Fish Tweezers are a godsend for those fish lovers who have been using those regular cosmetician tweezers (you know who you are!) for getting those little fish bones out of the meat. It can be a very difficult and challenging process because fish meat is very fragile, and simply getting a knife or fork and poking around to get the bones out will render your fish looking like it went through a hamburger press. Not good. The Dalstrong name is already synonymous with high quality knives, and their Fish Tweezers are no different. The width of the Fish Tweezer is about 3x the width of a normal tweezer, and is very pointed at the end but flat for gripping–so grabbing those fish bones rather easy to do.I did take one star away for being somewhat expensive, but if you do eat fish on a routine basis, the price probably won’t affect you the “value” is more realized. If you’re a first time fish eater and came across this review, then yes, you might be a little put off, but I still recommend this over anything else.I used these tweezers on nice piece of wild caught salmon I bought at Costco, and the difference between using anything else is very striking and noticeable. My salmon was left virtually untouched and couldn’t tell that I used anything on it. Compare that to a few months ago when I had salmon and using a small knife and regular tweezers made marks all over the place. So, if you’re a routine fish eater, you MUST buy this handy tool. It comes in a rather sleek and elegant Dalstrong-colored box with a matching internal case that is magnetically closed for convenience. On a side note, be sure to buy only WILD CAUGHT fish. Don’t buy the farmed fish. Most fish is farmed these days, slowly overtaking the fish selections in Delis in all grocery stores across The United States. When in doubt…ASK if the fish you are buying is farmed or wild caught. And if they don’t know…DON’T BUY.Eat well, live fresh. Thanks for reading!

Absolute must-have if you cook fresh fish
This is a very simple kitchen tool, but if you cook fresh fish, it will make all the difference. The same goes for fresh poultry that often has the hollow ends of feathers still attached. These are also great for placing garnishes on appetizers too.As far as fish bones go, this tool has literally changed my eating habits. I love fish, but will not go near it if there are bones in it. I’m lucky enough to live where fishmongers are almost as common as supermarkets, but I always used to pass up trying new fish because of the fear of pin bones. This tool has opened up a whole new world of fish and, thus, healthier eating for me and my family. I’ve cooked fish at home that I would only have ordered in restaurants before now.Getting all of the fish bones out is still not my idea of a picnic, but this tool has made it quick and doable and I honestly don’t mind it much at all. The reward is being able to eat more fresh local fish without worrying about the bones. Plus I feel like a professional chef when I’m using them. Before I got these, if I somehow ended up with fish that had pin bones, my emergency implement was a pair of tweezers from my make-up drawer that I sterilized with alcohol and a burning flame. Not ideal for any number of reasons, the least of which was that the tips were too thin for the job. My husband once offered his shop tweezers for use, but they were basically just giant-sized beauty-style tweezers. The current price of $20 is well worth it for these tweezers.

Really unique
Much easier to apply pressure with a larger grip area. Also they are about twice as big as standard fish tweezers so they are overall easier to control when in use.

Unique Strong Grip Pads
Update 11/13/22:Dalstrong reached out to me and sent me a replacement set of tweezers. The new tweezers have completely symmetrical pincers that meet at a precision point along the entire contact surface.Iâm changing the review to 5-stars because the machining now matches the design. The huge thumb and index finger pads are unique to Dalstrong and allow you to bear down with a massive amount of grip pressure compared to other tweezers.—Original Review—The pincer tips, while parallel, do not meet edge to edge with the left pincer closing a little more than 1mm behind the right pincer. This means that you canât do precision work with these. The left pincer is also a couple of mm thinner than the right pincer at the point of contact. But they were designed for fairly rough work – picking out large fish bones and feathers⦠and they pick out feathers easily.I eat pastured chickens from a low-production farm, so the processing isnât as thorough as with factory chickens. So that means lots of feathers. These are great for getting the feathers out. The large grip area gives you lots of clamping force and this is not precision work (so the wonky pincer tips donât matter). But⦠At a list price of $30 and on sale at $20, these are kind of expensive for the pincers not to pinch correctly. The boxing is outrageous for a kitchen implement (see pics). Iâd rather they saved the money on the boxing and painting to make sure the machining was better.

Tips dont match up!
I really wanted these to be my new tweezers for fish beauce they looked very cool, but they are too big so they dont really have good pressure when pulling bones and with that being said , its a much harder job when the ends dont meet flush. They look really cool but its pointless to buy this if you have to fix them before you even get to use them. Nice try Dalstrong but you should fix this product.
