One dislike, the wire cutter are substandard. Used in a professional shop for plastic repairs. A complete kit for this price is a high value tool!

Powerful
It has a bigger transformer than my old 50w welder. Be very careful welding thin plastics and use 0.6mm staples instead of the 0.8mm came with it -for thin plastic, repeat.For thick 1/8″ and up is perfect with the thicker staples (0.8mm staples).Only problem I found was it does not vents, and the transformer gets hot under continuos use, so I drilled 4 holes, 2 on the bottom and two on the top to created a cross ventilation.Another thin, something was broken, loose and making noise inside, I opene and it was a groken tap, nothing really bad.I’m very please with the power and ergonomics of this tool. And the price is awesome. Great Seller!!!

Don’t waste your money!
The first time I used this welder the staples got stuck and would not come out easily. I had to get a screwdriver to hold down the staple as I poulled the device away. One time the staple just pulled right out of the plastid I was trying to fix. To make things worse the unit stopped heating in the middle of the repair I was making. It would not turn on or get hot. I had to unplug it and wait 15 min for it to cool down and then retried and the unit turned on for a lil bit then shut off again after about one staple… This is a piece of crap!

Plenty of heat
This one heats fast. Iv fix three things so far with this gun , plastic mower shoot busted in half. Housing that held vacuum cleaner tire on broken off and glovebox on truck had busted plastic threaded nuts made into plastic. Didnât bother with trying to glue just stuck it with heat clips. Paid for its self in one use. Well worth having

Plastic welder
I know that this device warms up fast but the instructions do NOT tell you how to install the staples. I attempted to use it to heat the plastic enough to melt it together and seal the opening. But then it heated to much and shut down. I think if good directions were provided that it may work fine with the staples provided. I could not figure out how to get them into the hard cold plastic or into the hot plastic. Therefore I don’t recommend this product to others.

I really like this tool
The Motocoche Plastic Welder works really well. I had never tried one of these devises before and was amazed. I do a lot of home repair, but seldom successfully tried to mend plastic.As can be seen in the photos, I had a wheel barrow which I use for hauling firewood and summer gardening. I broke a hole in it with a chunk of wood and unfortunately lost the piece of plastic.A crack was present next to the hole which needed mending before patching the hole with a piece of sheet metal above and below the hole, squeezed together with a bolt.The Motocoche heats in a second and I used about 5 “staples” to mend the crack. It was very strong at that point. I tried cutting the staple ends which stuck out with a wire cutter , but too much remained sticking out. I used a Dremel tool to cut the ends flush. I then used a spatula end on a wood burner to smooth the plastic surface a bit. I added the sheet metal pieces and now have the wheel barrow ready for service. I highly recommend this tool.
