For the price, it is well worth it.
Get the hang of this tool, you can mend all kinds of plastic. Fixed a rideing mower hood that was thought to be unrepairible, plastic chainsaw handle with the help of some epoxy, cell phone case. Etc… it’s worth it.

Saved around $400
Product works fantastic to mend broken plastic. Had a portable air conditioner that could not be repaired because the parts were no longer available. Since the broken part was plastic, this did the trick and mended the plastic blower wheel and saved $400 instead of purchasing a new one, Would highly recommend. Even if I never use this again it has paid for itself many times over on the first use.

Put it to use sooner than I thought
Worked great. 2 kinds of welds. Staples or use with zip ties. Saves your broken plastic items. Quick fixes just don’t hold trigger down too long or it will flame. It’s powerful.

Very Useful in Plastic Repair
Bought this to repair my trash bin and work table . I’m totally surprised for this tool. I think every home owner should have this in their tool box or tool cabinet. It’s a very useful tool.

Excellent Plastic Welding Kit
BOSJOB 110W Plastic Welder KitI own several plastic welding kits and this one is my favorite.A few things I like about this product:The welding gun is made out of a sturdy and high quality plastic. The gun has good weight that allows you to make precise and deliberate movements. The gun heats up very quickly and gives the user good control over the temperature. You can tap the trigger button to just add a little more heat or let it cool. Depending on the plastic you are welding, you should be able to keep it from burning. The heating spatula is outstanding for fixing cracks in plastics. I would recommend this for plastics with a little more thickness. This tip is a little too much for plastics with a thickness of 1.5mm or less.To my surprise, they actually included high quality staples. These staples are stainless steel and are the type of staples I like to use for plastic repairs. Not only do they look nice, but they tend to come out of the welder much smoother and with better precision. The staples are 0.8mm and are very sturdy. The carrying case for this product is very sturdy and durable. It allows you to store your plastic welder and has dividing slots to fit your staples and other accessories. One thing I do not like about the plastic carrying case is that it isn’t balanced properly. The welder sits at the front whereas the accessories sit at the back. While carrying this case, the front weighs it down and it just feels awkward carrying it. A better design would be to put the welder in the middle and have the accessory slots split up between the front and back. This is definitely not a deal breaker.Like mentioned in the beginning of this review, this is my favorite welder. If you are looking to fix plastics 1.5mm or thicker, this is definitely the product for you. I highly recommend this welder for your plastic repair needs.

Heats up!
Got this for my kayak. Definitely need to practice welding plastic outside before attempting a repair. The welder comes in its own hard shell case which is convenient for storage. I’m almost too excited to damage plastic materials now so I can practice my welds.

Does a great job.
This plastic repair tool worked great for me.What the pictures show is the front corner of my trash barrel. It has been cracked like that for two years. I had a generous coating of duct tape on it, hence the tape residue you see all over it. I labeled each picture in the lower right corner because I have no idea in what order these will appear in the review. The “Before repair” picture shows the damaged portion of the plastic. The crack is approximately 10 inches in total length. The “Staples Inserted” picture shows the six staples I put into the plastic along the length of the crack. I used six because the crack was along three surfaces – the side, the front and the top.The “Stales Cut Off” shows exactly that – I used a pair of wire cutters to cut off the ends and it left a small, sharp bit sticking out of the plastic. I decided to use a small file to smooth the ends over. There were two bits that the file could not reach so I tapped them down with a small hammer. Either way, the end result was I could no longer feel the ends of the staples. The “Blended” picture shows my attempt at hiding the crack. The tool worked great and the small spatula attachment smoothly melted the plastic but I’m not artist and my skill in using that particular device are obvious – I have no skill. That is not the fault of the plastic welder, it is the fault of the user – me.In general, I would say this is an excellent tool to repair most damaged plastics. If you have a steady hand, you might even be able to make the repair look seamless!
