worked great
Worked really well, used it to repair my very abused garbage can. and my wives Prius under carriage cover. As always the plastic strips that come with this type of tool are not useful. It is always better to find a piece of plastic from same piece you are trying to weld and use that as filler. this unit heated up very quickly so move quickly and don’t overstay your welcome or you’ll just melt away plastic.

Amazing Tool
I love this thing.I was amazed how well it works.It quickly heats the wire so you can embed it into the plastic as it melts. Once it cools you snip the ends off and you are done.The repairs hold very well and you won’t have to wait for it to dry.This tool works great.

broke using it less than 5 min on first repair
the set is complete but the product I receive didn’t last for five minutes. I purchased last year for an upcoming project.I started today with the mesh to reinforce a crack on a suppert piece in my camper.I was able to almost complete 2x 2″ x3″ patches.I took a break to get out the welding rod material that came with unit and the gun would not heat the tip any more.I liked the product and would hope that this was a fluke.I am asking for a replacement unit

Should own if you think you can use.
I keep liking what I can do with this. Smoothing out the repair is not always pretty with the paddle as it gets dirty or burns plastic. I could use additional paddles when I go from black to white and could use other colors. Original tent was a bumper repair. Used a chemical epoxy fier to smooth that did not work alone. The metal staples really are necessary to reinforce most repairs. I have since used iron two refrigerators and multiple other items. Only failed on a bakealite type plastic that was reluctant to melt. I shouldâve known as it was a housing for a waffle maker. I will try JB weld for that.

Works great, but overheats during heavy use
It works great with the staples, but overheats when you have the iron tip on to melt in the wire mesh. I melted in two 1/2″ X 1/2″ pieces of wire mesh, and the thermal protection shut down the tool on the second piece. I had to wait 15min for it to work again.

Lastimosamente deja de funcionar cuando se recalienta
Es un producto que ofrece buenas prestaciones, sin embargo se recalienta en cuando se opera con la pieza para pulir el plástico y deja de funcionar, al esperar un buen rato se puede volver a usar pero toca esperar mucho tiempo para hacerlo nuevamente y no es lo ideal sabiendo que se está trabajando en un proyecto.
