Ideal with Plastic Parts Break
This Hot Air Plastic Welder has been a fantastic addition to my tool collection. It heats up quickly and provides a steady, controlled air flow, making it easy to work with different plastics. I’ve used it for repairing everything from car bumpers to outdoor furniture, and the welds hold up very well. The adjustable heat settings are a great feature, allowing for more precision on various materials. I even found more uses for it than I imagined including using it to repair my 3D printed objects and the door hinge on my washing machine lid that wasn’t holding up with just a hot glue temp fix. Honestly you will probably find tons of ways to use this device and practice will definitely make each of your jobs better than the first ones. Highly recommend for DIY enthusiasts and repair needsâdurable and effective!

Works well
Though this works well, it feels a bit cheap and even look cheap. I know it will last long, but I will keep an active eye on it to see if it lasts or not. Only time will tell.

Works great
Iâve found tons of uses for this hot air plastic welder. Any kind of thermoplastic welding you can do with this tool. It comes with everything you need and then some. I really like the various stainless steel nozzles, they work great. Itâs lightweight, durable, and easy to use. It has an adjustable temperature knob and start/stop switch. Overall itâs a good value.

Works well.
I am restoring a car with some cracked interior trim pieces. Unfortunately, replacement parts are not available from the manufacturer or on the aftermarket. To make things worse, most used parts (when I can find any) aren’t any better than what I have.Other than needing some plastic rods, the kit is very complete. I started practicing on a garbage can and trashed bumper cover just to get used to how best to affect the repairs. This unit gets quite hot, be careful you don’t burn yourself or ruin your project.Through trial and error I was able to find a heat setting that was effective. My repairs aren’t perfect, but they will hold up to the casual eye and are certainly better than using cracked parts.I look forward to using this for more projects.

Nice plastic welder that comes with extras.
I’m going to start off and say that I do like this plastic welder it is easy to use and using it is intuitive and the fine control over the temperature setting is nice. I’m just going to say that this was bigger than I was expecting and unfortunately it is a bit awkward to hold but this plastic welder puts out a lot of heat and it does it in a hurry. I have been using this to help fix some of my 3D prints and so far it has been working out great that said I also find all the extra nozzles that come with this to be really useful and adding that on to the other tools that come with it makes this a really nice comprehensive kit. Overall I really like this kit I think the the welder itself is well built and seems pretty sturdy and overall I think this is a good value kit for all that your get.

Very useful tool to have around
This hot air plastic welder is a very useful tool to have around.I have been fixing a lot of plastic parts that have cracks and it works great.This is much better than superglue as it actually melts the parts together giving you a much stronger repair than any glue can provide.Highly recommend.

Serious plastic welder that lacks documentation on how to actually use it!
This is a monster of a plastic welder. Unlike another one I’ve reviewed that you plug in and it heats up metal wire clips or has a flat tip like a soldering iron, this one uses hot air and has the ability to feed thermoplastic rod onto the item you’re joining. It heats up to use in less than two minutes. The kit includes a roller to smooth out and flatten the plastic bead you put down. Unlike the ones I mentioned above that cost about 1/3 the price, this one seems to be designed for more professional serious plastic welding. It’s heavy and a bit bulky to use, but there is a good reason for that. It has a motor and a fan that feeds very hot air into the nozzle to melt the plastic. Also unlike the above mentioned hot metal tip ones, you don’t force metal wire clips into the plastic to bind the two pieces. It seems to be designed to weld large flat plastic pieces together, rather than fix a hole or tear in something plastic. Unfortunately, and this is one of the reasons for only 4 stars, that is not explained very well. The documentation is pretty sparse, and pretty basic, and lacks any real instruction. Until I watched their video on their advert I had no idea what that roller or the other wooden handled tool was used for. The documentation shows how to turn it on, and how to change the spare heating element it included, presumably when and if that fails. Very little instruction on how to actually use it. That is unfortunate because once I dug around on the internet and figured out how it’s used, and then tested it out on couple pieces of flat plastic, it worked great. Another negative is that, for this price, over a hundred bucks, you would think they would include a few pieces of thermoplastic rod used to feed through that tube. Again, it lacks documentation. Written on the front of the welder are three cryptic white (see pic) messages concerning what heat setting. No real explanation of these.Bottom line… a great welder that lacks documentation on how to use it or even what everything written on the welder means. A good well written understandable instruction booklet and some thermoplastic rods to start you off, and this would be a five star piece of equipment.
