Great tool for collision repair.
This performed very well. It is a quality tool that heats the Staples very quickly and then cools immediately for easy installation. This saved me a lot of money otherwise I would have been faced with spending over $300 on a new bumper cover for my car.

At this price you should own one of these.
Within 15 mins of opening the box I saved $70 by doing a repair. About 1/2 the size of old solder guns it doesnât take up much space and Iâm confident I will use it often. If youâre a âfixâ it type person, you should have one of these. I paid $14

Works as it should
Bought this to fix the plastic water weights on a cantilever umbrella. I used this to reinforce the seam and then used JB Weld to make it waterproof. Works well.

Works!
Didnât get as hot as I expected a 100 watter would. Got the job done but the 12v homemade one I made was much fast and fused to the plastic better. Thought the ac plug in would be faster.

Not good
Pins are not strong enough to join, very thin. ThinnerThen regular staple pins, I feel like waisted money,They can hold the joints, pins like hairs

Works amazingly, but use caution
This tool works incredibly well. I only just learned about these plastic stapler / welder tools recently and wanted to try one out. I had a moderate tear in the lid of my recycle bin, right near the hinge. It was causing rainwater to get in, and also the hinge didn’t work well and the lid flopped around. I put a bunch of these various staples along the tear and it really stabilized it. The lid feels good as new… kind of.Each staple has a couple of 1″ wires that remain sticking out of the weld. These wires have to be snipped off. I used some diagonal pliers because that was the best thing I have, but I think they would be better cut with some flush cutter pliers, or end cutting nippers. Diagonal pliers left about a half a mm of the wire nub sticking out, and these little nubs are serious laceration hazards. Even worse before they’re cut. before they’re cut they’re even worse laceration hazards and also puncture hazards.When cutting the staples, BE CAREFUL, this is hard, brittle metal that shoots across the room when you snip it. Excellent eye protection, is a must. I used some needle nose pliers to hold the piece I was cutting, so it didn’t fly away, but a few of them got loose and ouch. They don’t feel good hitting your hand, and would be real bad news if it hit your eye.So now my garbage can has like 50 extremely sharp little steel nubs sticking out of it. For now I put a drop of hot glue on top of each one to at least provide some protection, but it looks terrible. I’m not sure how long that’ll hold up, and I’ll probably eventually replace the hot glue with some sort of caulking. I may also take a grinder to them and see if i can make them flush.Besides that, the welder gun was super easy to use. You just slip the staple of your choice into the electrodes, pull the trigger and press it into the plastic. It heats up FAST. I think there is a little technique to perfect, like kind of wiggling the staple in seems to better embed it into the plastic.In summary, this is a solid tool that works amazingly well. Just be sure to get some flush cutters or end nippers or something that can really snip off the staples cleanly. I’m genuinely impressed with how well it works.
