Does just what it says
Works like a charm on my 2008 GMC pickup. Keeps the computer from shutting down the cylinders and the lifters getting stuck and not re-applying. Important, keep your oil changed. Extended change intervals on these motors is the biggest reason the AFM systems eat cams/lifters. This little plug module goes on the OBD port under the dash and makes no permanent changes to the system. Unplug if you’re going for a State Inspection, though.

It Just Works. Bye Bye to V4 Lifter-Lock on ’16 Chevy Truck
What can I say but it does just work. I tried everything to get the truck to go into V4 mode and compress the lifters when this thing was plugged into the OBD2 port, but I couldn’t do it. And that’s just what I wanted.Simple to plug in and nothing to operate. It keeps me out of V4 and it’s not showing a bunch of scary codes in my Onstar report that i can watch live with my subscription. Nice! I’ll be leaving it in this particular truck because it’s high miles and I’m afraid for these collapsible lifters. I don’t want ’em stuck collapsed given the older springs and older oil-fill holes that could get clogged, etc. I want to save myself a full $4,000 AFM-delete kit experience of removing everything and swapping out all the lifters.I think this is the solution and it’s so easy! Yes, I do indeed recommend it, highly!

Does what it says
Vvt is the plague on your motor, cats, spark plugs etc. This works like a charm and keeps my ’17 Tahoe in V8. Should help everything last longer and run smoother.

So far so good!
When getting a v8 truck, I expected it to have some power on hand. But with the afm, it really tended to suck the power out of it, while not getting us much better gas mileage. After plugging this into the obd2 port I noticed that my afm was disabled, and there was much more power available. I wanted this because I have heard about how the fuel management can mess up the catalytic converters due to burning more oil, and I don’t want that (this is a high mileage truck). So I’m very happy that my power is increased and i’m not harming my Cats. I have only been using this for weeks now, but if this keeps up, I can recommend to all. If I run into problems i will come back and change this review.
