Outstanding for the price.
Someone broke a piece of the rear-right fender off of our UTV at work ( A Kubota RTV500 ).I saved the piece, and bought this tool to see if I could fix it.One tiny triangular chunk was lost for good, but, I did manage to try this tool for the first time.I had never used a tool like this before, and was unsure of it.All I could think was, “This is going to be one of those, “NAILED IT!” before and after shots, I know it” Because I didn’t believe the tool would work so well for being so inexpensive.Again, I have NEVER done this kind of repair before with a tool like this at all.It was so simple and easy to use… I was, very impressed.For a first time ever touching this type of tool, I think it came out really well.I have included the photos I took while doing the work, and it only took me about 25-30 minutes, literally did this on my lunch break at work…I recommend watching a youtube video on this tools operation, to be sure it is something you think you can do.Also, here is a tip, press the “staple” against the plastic first and pull the trigger, don’t just heat it up in the air n stick it in there.The tool heats up fast, but not too fast to use properly. This wattage, (150W) is PERFECT. Any less and it would have been super slow and annoying to use, any MORE and it would be TOO fast to use.Once you get the ends snipped off (I used flush cutters because the wire cutters it comes with leave WAY too much of the staple sticking out) then I hit the ends with a grinding stone on a Dremel tool and it was fine, I didn’t have sand paper to make it look pretty but despite this, it came out rather well for a first time ever use.If you have an ATV, or any vehicle that has a broken bumper, rather than frankenstein-ing it with pop rivets a sheet of metal, or epoxy, or plastic adhesives, TRY THIS.This tool sets hot wire into the material, LOCKING it in place, and once you smooth it over with the flat spatula end, (Which you can bend to a usable curve shape or any shape you need it comes with TWO of them) you will be able to make the repair, solid, and look fairly okay for what it is.I am CERTAIN with a couple uses, you will become REALLY good at it and it will look better than my poopie job depicted in the photos. I am not saying I want more broken things to fix, but really this was FUN to use, like a little craft project that took only 20 minutes. So the next time something plastic DOES break, this is going to be my go to tool of choice. 100%

Love this plastic welder
Itâs easy to use and actually works. I used it to weld a bolt flange on my daughters headlight, and to weld the air filter Cover clip on my weedeater. This thing is awesome. Saves time and money to have to order replacement parts when you can fix them at home.

In my opinion, it’s a good value, pretty sturdy, and works well. I used it to repair cracked vehicle trim pieces that are difficult to find.

Works Perfectly – In seconds!
Remarkably fast heat up -within only 2-3 seconds. Works amazingly well, and very simple. Pins slide in and out easily and clip cleanly with appropriate side snips. Was reserved this wouldn’t work well but it does and it’s a wonderful addition that I wished I would’ve bought years ago. Certainly recommend this.

A good little Plastic welder
My heavy-duty yard waste and trash bins got manhandled once too often by the arms of the pickup vehicle and the thick plastic split. I strapped the respective bins to close the split gap and used this welder and little staples to seal it shut. Snipping off the excess, I then melted a bead of plastic over the staples to make it nice a smooth. It has been many months now and the repair held perfectly. I give the little gun high marks in performing its job. There are plenty of videos on You Tube that describes exactly how to use it. You may not think you need one until you need one, and this unit did a great job.

Works great but there is a definite learning curve!
The instructions are basically just pictures and don’t really tell you much of anything other than heat and press in. As expected, the cut off pliers ONLY cut in one spot which is NEVER at the tip where you need it so there’s always a tiny sharp spot sticking out on every single “leg”! I will have to dremel them down i guess since i used it to repair the handle on a water bottle and would have to add A LOT of material to cover all of the spots and make the overall fixes look even. Would still buy again though.

I bought this to repair my car bumper and assorted broken pieces from the unfortunate âDukes of Hazzardâ incident when I accidentally jumped my car. Fortunately the bumper was only cracked on the underside, although a fairly big chunk was missing along with some mounting tabs. Just to see if I could, I joined some scrap ABS plastic to the polyurethane of the bumper using the supplied wavy staples. I made two mounting tabs as well as a piece to bridge the gap that been torn out. This unit worked quickly and flawlessly. It almost worked too well, you have to be cognizant of the thickness of your piece, I almost burned through on one spot. The supplied staples are good, but itâs impossible to supply a staple for every possible scenario. Luckily some needle nose pliers and careful bending created the right profiles. The repair was nice and solid, weâll see how long it lasts. Like it says in the manual be careful to leave the gun in place after releasing the trigger, the material needs to set up. Be careful also when clipping the ends of the staples with the provided side cutters, they shoot off at somewhere between the speed of sound and Warp 3. One ricocheted off of my forearm, making a wound that bled profusely. I just rubbed some dirt on it and kept going.Itâs already paid for itself. Iâm confident that Iâll get allot more use out of it. Oh yeah, when the other reviews say the included case is flimsy and cheap, they arenât exaggerating. Itâs so weak Iâll probably have to use the gun to weld it back together. Iâm not sure if thatâs a problem or an opportunity?

This worked well to repair some damage on a car bumper. I originally tried to use epoxy but that failed. This was a pretty cheap tool and the results were better than what I expected.
