Great for getting small flakes of gold
this is a great product and very convenient to have in your prospectors kit. The magnifier is a great addition. I gave 4 stars because the tweezers could be better (they are still real good). My prospecting partner has a pair of make-up tweezers that are more pointed and able to get finer pieces of gold.

Good for small items. Lens is useful.
I got these to pick pieces of gold out of my pan, the tweezers are fine enough to get most small pieces and the magnifying lens works well enough to be useful. The price is right as well.

After inspecting this Magnifier and using it thoroughly I feel that I can now give an accurate and helpful review of it.Pros: – Well built. The finish of this magnifier is great, the tweezers line up perfectly in the handle and the magnification is highly adjustable. – No scratches. The one I received had no scratches or blemishes on the lense itself. – Great price.Cons: – No case or bag or anything to protect it from getting scratched. I just used a small cloth bag I already had laying around.I originally purchased this to go with my gold panning kit as I was unaware that it already contained one. However I prefer this one to the one that came in the kit as that one was cheaply made and mostly plastic. This one here is a higher quality overall than you would get in most kits. This would be great for gold panning, fine arts and crafts, first aid, circuitry or any other task involving small objects.

Use in collaboration with back panning and snuff bottle to separate gold from sands. Good to have in first aid kit too.. magnification glass could be more but it’s like a 3x or so.. tweezer makes good connection

Made of metal, they are pretty robust and nicely finished. The image is clear when looking through the lens. However, the focal length of the lens is greater that the distance you can open the tweezers up to and it is impossible to see what you are grabbing with the tweezers. I tried bending the frame to increase the distance but the steel is too stiff to accomplish this. These are pretty much useless to use to pull splinters out using the magnifying lens.

Perfect for tick removal. Recommend
