You can enjoy the functionalities of both a soldering station, and a hot air station, at the size of one. Both stations come with individual temperature controls, digital temperature read-outs, and other functions.
Soldering station
392-896°F Adjustable with PID stabilized temperature output, you can solder a variety kinds of through-hole components smoothly.
Hot Air Station
212-896°F Adjustable with variable air volume, you can cover SMD component rework to your soldering job scopes.
Hot Air Gun
Built with patented cylindrical ceramic heating element design, providing superior temperature control and safety as compared to traditional coiled heating element. Built with spiraling outlet design to provide concentrated air flow during SMD rework.
Soldering Iron
Powered by 60W ceramic heating element with temperature measurement function. The station measures the actual temperature in milliseconds, and sends temperature compensation commands to the heating element to ensure stable temperature. So you don’t have to wait for heating between soldering joints.
Sleep Mode
Activates when non-use for longer than 10 minutes is detected, cooling the soldering iron’s temperature to 392°F. This mode protects the soldering tip’s plating from oxidizing when left unused for 10 minutes, and extends the ceramic heating element’s lifespan.
Standby Mode
When the hot air gun is placed into the holder, regardless the temperature setting, the hot air gun will automatically stop heating, and cool to 212°F. Once the hot air gun is cooled, the blower will also stop operating to enter the standby mode. This function extends the hot air gun’s heating element lifespan.

Calibration of temp readings may be off. I used an infrared thermometer to adjust.
To be my first hot air station there was a learning curve but achieved. My Temps didn’t seem correct so my infrared thermometer helped me find the best temp for my application. Once that was done I don’t know how I had managed before.

Changes soldering from a pain to a pleasure
I bought this soldering station as a replacement for an old soldering iron. Temperature control on this soldering station is very helpful. At higher temperatures, I am able to work with lead free solder, which was always a challenge on my old soldering iron. Also, as mentioned by others, this soldering station heats the tip of the iron quickly, which makes the system a pleasure to use. I have not yet had occasion to use the heat gun–looking for a simple project that requires it. The holder for the soldering iron is separate from the control center of the station. I place the two side by side, but if I had a more sophisticated workbench a different placement might be more strategic. The holder is stable and adequately covered, which reduces the likelihood of accidents or injuries.Some soldering stations include a third hand or other device to hold the item to be soldered. I made the decision to buy a soldering station without this feature. My reasoning was that it would be better to buy a separate, dedicated third hand. So far that decision seems to be a good one.For anyone who wants to change soldering from an unpleasant chore to a somewhat satisfying part of building a project, this station is a good choice.

Tips don’t heat very well
This iron seems to struggle to keep at temp and does not evenly distribute hear to the tips well compared to my other solder stations.
